WARNTracker $250/mo; closurelead $299/mo per territory (one yard, up to 250 mi), founding $199/mo for the first 10 accounts. Side by side Which one to pick
Where WARNTracker is stronger
- 45 states and DC, all except AR, ND, NH, WV and WY. closurelead reads 2.
- History back to 1988, a one-time archive for $2,000.
- Layoffs and closures in every industry, 17 columns per notice. We keep only industrial-site closures (in California, only permanent ones).
- A weekly email every Friday, a CSV of every new notice.
- Amendments tracked along with the first notice.
- A lower list price: $250/mo against our $299/mo per territory.
- A live Airtable view with the bundle, filterable by company, state, date or industry.
- A free sample weekly file (sample CSV), so you see rows before you pay.
Its page names "Source liquidation and equipment leads" as one use and says "Subscribers include industrial equipment firms." If you buy in many states, it does things we don't.

What closurelead adds, measured
A raw WARN feed is mostly layoffs and non-industrial sites. In California, from Jul 1 to Nov 4, 2026:
The last step counts sites, not notices. For 22 of them, OSHA or EPA list the same business at the same address under an industrial code (manufacturing, wholesale, or transportation and warehousing): confirmed. The other 16 rest on EDD's industry code: not confirmed.
In Pennsylvania, 13 closures listed from Nov 2025 to Oct 2026 are at sites OSHA or EPA confirm as industrial (why only those).
Our polls of 14 bankruptcy court feeds caught 35 business Chapter 7 and 11 petitions docketed from Nov 4 to Nov 6, 2026, in our first 2 days of polling. The feeds give no address, so a petition reaches a territory only on a name match to one plant in OSHA or EPA records ("by name only"). None of the 35 has been placed in a territory yet.

Newest confirmed site on the statewide Pennsylvania list, engine run 20261107T2147Z-6a6d06ea. PA L&I does not say whether this closure is permanent.
The planned date is the employer's plan and can move. A notice says nothing about what is at the site or how it will be handled.
What closurelead does not do
- WARN notices from 2 states, not 45. If your radius reaches neither California nor Pennsylvania, the ZIP box says so. Near a state line it names the states it did not check (New Jersey for a yard near Allentown).
- Pennsylvania closures only with an OSHA or EPA match. L&I lists no industry, so a PA closure shows only when a record confirms an industrial site at the address. That left out 38 PA closures listed from Nov 2025 to Oct 2026.
- No layoffs. If you want layoff notices too, a raw feed fits better.
- No contact names. The notice an employer sends names a company official to contact (20 CFR 639.7), but the state lists we read leave it out, and we don't sell contact lists.
- No archive. We sell no back file; the History row says how far back our lists and counts go.
- Fewer rows. Within 150 miles of ZIP 91761 the sample had 7 findings from Oct 8 to Nov 7, 2026. Pennsylvania had 13 confirmed closures statewide from Nov 2025 to Oct 2026. A quiet week can bring no new row.
Which one to pick
Pick WARNTracker if
- you buy in many states;
- you want layoffs as well as closures;
- you need history back to 1988;
- you want every notice as a weekly CSV, or a live Airtable view you filter yourself.
Pick closurelead if
- your yard is in California or Pennsylvania, and you buy mostly inside those states;
- you want only the industrial closures within a set radius;
- you want each site checked against OSHA and EPA, with the record linked;
- you want court petitions matched to a plant by name as they start to appear.
Run both if
- you want the wide view across states and a short list for your own yard.

Questions
What does WARNTracker cost?
$250/mo for the weekly subscription, $2,000 one-time for the historical archive, or a $2,050 bundle up front and then $250/mo (warntracker.com/pricing, read Nov 7, 2026).
Does WARNTracker cover California and Pennsylvania?
Yes. Its pricing page lists 45 states and DC, all except AR, ND, NH, WV and WY (warntracker.com/pricing, read Nov 7, 2026). It sends every new notice, layoffs included.
Does a closure notice mean the site’s assets will be sold?
No. A notice says the employer plans to close a site, on a date that can move. It says nothing about what is at the site, who owns it, or how it will be handled.
How do I switch from WARNTracker?
You don't have to switch at once, and there is nothing to import. Type your yard's ZIP on this page and read the list next to your WARNTracker file. 30-day free trial, no card. Run both for the month of the trial and keep the one you use.
